With spirit and sensitivity, soprano Chelsea Helm brings a versatile voice to the concert stage. An active choral artist, Ms. Helm appears regularly with the Santa Fe Desert Chorale, Conspirare, Seraphic Fire, True Concord Voices & Orchestra, The Thirteen, Upper Valley Baroque, and the Washington Bach Consort. As an oratorio soloist, her latest concert appearances include the Mozart Requiem and Great Mass in C Minor, Haydn’s Creation and Lord Nelson Mass, and the works of Bach and Handel. Recent art song recital performances have showcased Debussy’s Ariettes oubliées, Schoenberg’s Das Buch der hängenden Gärten, the Richard Strauss Vier Letzte Lieder, and new works by established and emerging American composers. In addition to a small private studio, Ms. Helm teaches voice at Southern Virginia University and with The Dynamic Voice Program. She holds degrees in Voice from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University and Western Michigan University.
