The Sound Between™ will collaborate with celebrated choreographer Levi Marsman to present a workshop performance of composer Joby Talbot’s spectacular work: Path of Miracles.
Path of Miracles is a 70-minute piece of music performed in four movements. Each movement takes the audience on a journey in the footsteps of a person walking the Camino de Santiago - a winding path through the hills of Spain. For centuries, people have traveled from all over the world to walk the Camino as a means of finding inner transformation, peace, or to grieve or honor a loved one who has been lost.
The Sound Between™ co-founders Matthew Goinz and Sophie Amelkin are drawn to share this piece because it speaks to the trials, doubt, camaraderie, loneliness and ecstasy of the human life experience. There is nothing more human than bringing a group of creative passionate artists together to create a tapestry of musical storytelling that is far greater than what can be accomplished alone.
The workshop will be presented on May 17th, 7:00pm at the National Dance Institute in Harlem.
